First edition, earliest printing with text errors uncorrected on pp. 82/83 (including the rare errata slip inserted in rear pocket). Mao portrait in sepia with tissue guard, calligraphic Lin Biao endorsement in brown uncorrected (as in all first edition copies, but also found printed in black): “Everyone should study the Chairman’s writings, Follow his Teachings, Act According to his Instructions and be Chairman Mao’s Good Soldier”.
Red Vinyl binding, second binding, preceded by printed paper wrappers.
